I am an average middle class citizen. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1969. I am the youngest of five children and was truly blessed when it came to my family. I was raised with traditional Christian values and was taught the value of hard work at an early age.
I moved to the suburbs of Houston Texas when I was 9 years old and would spend the rest of my youth in Houston living a typical middle class setting. We had most things we needed, but not everything we wanted. In my early teens, I took an interest in politics and began following the presidency of Ronald Reagan. It was through this interest that I undertook studying the constitution and the real founding principles of this great country. This changed my life forever. My interest in politics led me to major in Political Science at the University of Houston, and I am proud to say that most of my education was financed, not through loans, but through a part time job and help from my parents. My father insisted I do my part to help with my education, which would eventually become the way I paid my entire tuition due to his employment situation.
I eventually was employed by a major Heating and Air Conditioning company and promoted to the job of Territory Manager. This promotion brought me to the great state of Colorado. Most of my time is spent helping my wife Jana raise our three wonderful girls and excelling in my career.
Over the years I became increasingly concerned about the political climate in our country and the continual loss of liberty. This deterioration has been going on for too long and it had finally reached a point where I felt I had to get involved. Education of our country’s children and adults was where I felt the biggest problem lay. I started a group with my friend Jeff Mast called the Founding Fathers Education Association with one simple mission: educate the masses and get the Constitution in as many people’s hands as possible. Through this group, we have handed out thousands of copies of the Constitution at local High Schools, parades, rallies, and shopping malls. This experience has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in politics.
Through my participation in a “Tax Day” tea party, I connected with like minded people and helped form the Loveland 912 Project in a hope to further the causes of Liberty, Freedom, and the founding principles of our country. Through these efforts and encouragement from my associates I felt the need to make a bigger impact and not just stand by and let career politicians make the decisions affecting my family and yours every day. This brings me to where I am today.
I believe our country needs average citizens to serve in public office to succeed in bringing back the values of rugged individualism that made our country great. The average person is intimidated, and told they have no place in government, and it is too hard to get involved and make a difference. I don’t believe this. I think that our country is best served by average people who go to Washington and represent the true America. I am committed to this, and I have chosen to dedicate myself to this mission. I am representative of every average, frustrated, and concerned person in America. No better than anyone else, just willing to throw myself into the fight to restore our country and “Bring America Home” to its founding principles.
